It’s not easy to be a kid as they watch the uncertainties rising up all around them this year. A new school year, stressful changes, any falsely perceived shortcomings within themselves, or struggles with certain friends can feel like insurmountable giants to a child.

But armed with God’s truth, even the smallest child can stand taller than a fallen giant!

Guiding children to store God’s Word deep in their hearts and to look at the world through the lens of God’s truth and love will help to fortify them from the inside out. I so wish I had been in a relationship with Jesus when my Daughters were small so I could sow His life giving Words into their little hearts.

Nurturing children spiritually will help give them a greater awareness of God’s very real presence in their life. Furthermore, it will give them a head start to learn who they were created to be in Christ and knowing this truth will help them to more quickly recognize the lies of the enemy. Many grown ups didn’t have this advantage and are struggling now.

Children can have feelings that are too big for their little minds and bodies, amen? Below you will find Bible Verses and free 8 x 10 ‘Positive Affirmation’ Printables to encourage your young child to remember God created them and loves them very much. He is bigger than any feelings or situation they may be facing. For the older child, you will find printable Scripture Cards containing all the verses below at the end of this post.

God promises us in Isaiah 55:11 that His Word will NEVER return to Him void but WILL ACCOMPLISH for Him the purpose for which He sent it. How empowering when we can partner with God to plant living seeds of His Word deep into all the hidden pockets of their tender hearts while they are still little. Water them through the years and they will take root. What a priceless legacy to leave for your children, greater than any earthly possession.
