Hey ladies! What are some activities you do with your 8-9 month olds? My daughters wake windows are getting longer and I’m trying to come up with easy activities to keep us happy & entertained. She starts to get bored of her toys and singing songs with me lol

I went to the dollar tree and walmart. Dollar tree has some art canvas. I bought a pack of 3 for a dollar and i had paint at home but if u put paint dots on the canvas then put the canvas in a ziploc baggy and duct tape the ziploc down she can sit on the floor or in her highchair and “paint”. I also got magnets and had a baking pan at home put the magnets in the baking pan sit her infront of the pan and she will be intrested in that for hours (not only is it entertaining to her but its also working on her motor grasping skills.) even colorful ducttape stick it to the ground and she can sit there and try to peel it off. These are all things i did with my daughter when i was also looking for activities for her to do and tbey kept her occupied for hours. U can also get a bag of buttons (large) and put them in the baking pan (just make sure u watch her.) she will like the different colors and also she might like the sounds of the buttons as she slams her hands in them along with the texture.

Hi! Here’s a few things my son loved when he was that age:
- I got some colorful drawer knobs from the craft store and screwed them into one of our living room walls at varying heights but all heights he could reach. He liked to pull himself up on them but I also didn’t screw them in super tight so he was able to spin them too. Kept him very busy and got to practice his motor skills.
- if you have a spare kitchen drawer, keep cheap Tupperware, dishcloths, or empty egg cartons in it. While I’d work in the kitchen he liked to pull things out of his drawer and just throw them around and explore the different textures of things.
- my personal favorite, go to target (if you’re close to one) grab yourself a Starbucks and sit in the toy aisle while they explore all the toys on the shelves.

Well, I've got 4 other kiddos running around here. So, my 9 month old is just happy to be able to crawl over to the patio door, and lick the window. lol

As an expert in child development and parenting, I can provide you with information related to all the concepts used in this article. Let's break down the concepts mentioned:
-
Getting Pregnant: This refers to the process of conceiving a child. It involves understanding the fertile window, tracking ovulation, and engaging in sexual intercourse during the most fertile days of a woman's menstrual cycle.
-
Pregnancy: This refers to the period of time during which a woman carries a developing fetus in her womb. It typically lasts around 40 weeks and is divided into three trimesters. During pregnancy, the body undergoes numerous physiological changes to support the growth and development of the baby.
-
First Year: The first year of a baby's life is a critical period of growth and development. During this time, infants go through significant milestones such as learning to sit, crawl, stand, and eventually walk. They also develop cognitive, social, and emotional skills.
-
Toddler: A toddler is a child between the ages of 1 and 3 years old. This is a stage characterized by rapid physical and cognitive development. Toddlers are typically learning to walk independently, developing language skills, and exploring their environment.
-
Family: Family refers to a group of individuals who are connected by blood, marriage, or adoption. Families provide love, support, and care for one another. They play a crucial role in a child's development and well-being.
-
Baby Names: Baby names refer to the names given to newborn babies. Choosing a name for a baby is a personal decision and can be influenced by cultural, religious, and family traditions.
-
Baby Products: Baby products include a wide range of items designed specifically for infants and young children. These can include diapers, baby food, clothing, toys, and nursery essentials.
-
Registry Builder: A registry builder is a tool or service that helps expectant parents create a list of items they need for their baby. It allows them to select and organize essential baby products and share the list with friends and family who may want to purchase gifts.
-
Registry: A registry is a list of items that expectant parents create to let others know what they need for their baby. It is often used for baby showers or as a way for friends and family to provide gifts for the new baby.
-
Community: A community refers to a group of people who share common interests, goals, or beliefs. In the context of parenting, a community can be a support network of other parents who provide advice, share experiences, and offer encouragement.
These concepts are all interconnected and play a significant role in the journey of parenting and child development. If you have any specific questions or would like more information on any of these topics, feel free to ask!
