I’ll be 16 weeks tomorrow and we’ve told our parents, grandparents, and 2 sets of close friends we are expecting. I think we shared on social media with our first pregnancy around 3 months. Idk why I’m wanting to hold off this time around until at least my 20 week scan which is scheduled for 4/25(yippy! can’t wait to see babe) anyway, I’m so excited and have found a cute way to share the amazing news! I’m just curious when everyone’s shared the news 🤪

We have told two sets of close friends, but that’s it. Our parents don’t know yet. 🙊 We are keeping it our fun little secret for as long as possible! I want to try to get at least to 20 weeks before telling our parents, but we don’t plan to post on social media until she makes her arrival. We just think it’ll be fun to surprise everyone!
We told people at 3 months with our first. We didn’t tell anyone outside of our immediate circle until 30 weeks with our second. And this time, we’ve either called or sent a cute text announcement to our family and friends, even friends we don’t talk to super often but knew they’d appreciate being told personally. People that are more like acquaintances will probably find out closer to 30 weeks. I’m not planning an official announcement for that though. I just know that pictures will be posted for an event I’m in, and I’ll assume it’ll be noticeable that I’m pregnant around 30 weeks.
We tell everyone immediately as we see them! Like, starting the day we take the test (which was at 4.5 weeks this time around 😂)! We love celebrating new life and don’t want to have to keep it in! But we do keep the gender a surprise for everyone including ourselves so that keeps things interesting :)

Yeah, that's me too. I can't not tell people, it's too exciting!! Partly because we had been trying so long with our first, then the second was nearly as exciting. Besides I just know I can't keep my mouth shut, so I decided I didn't care to try. 🤣

That’s fun yes! I honestly was that way and then after we told the small group of people, my husband told his parents(which my mil was dying to know gender) and his one set of grandparents via FT. Then I was included in a group chat with his other set congratulating us and shouting out they’re gonna have a second great grandson…aka my mil told her parents 🙃 So that was a bit of a bummer! I figured if we go announce the way I want I would somehow include gender. I’m also showing already this time around even at 4mo so I’m like ah be careful with pictures ect 🤪

That’s so sweet! Yes, I agree. My in laws knew the same day I have my first appt to confirm both first pregnancy and this one! It’s nice to have someone to know. Although I wish/thought I wanted to wait until birth for the gender reveal even for us I couldn’t help it! It’s made me feel better being able to “prepare” esp with a second boy we have kept allll our first clothes! So idk it’s been fun thankfully still lol.

Yeah that’s not at all my style! No judgement for anyone who chooses that but it seems a little silly to me, especially when people can tell! How awkward 😂

Yes I agree! Definitely not judging, but I was like ahhh okay… it just took us by surprise and obviously they KNEW we could tell… idk haha was a little awkward, but I don’t think I wanna not share at all! My belly already is showing more this time around. We don’t live by family so that helps LOL.
