I have mentioned before, but I have been obsessed lately with cooking from my archives. There are so many recipes that I’ve forgotten about, or family favorites that I haven’t made for some time, simply because I’m busy making new recipes. It’s the downside of being a recipe hoarder and cookbook collector. But lately, I’ve caught a bug. A bug that has me searching through my archives several times a week, and adding those recipes to my meal plan.
One of those recipes that I rediscovered lately was a Cheesy Garlic Bread recipe that we absolutely love. But for some reason, that recipe got the wheels in my head turning. What could I do to change things up? Make it a little different?
The answer came to me easily. A Ranch Cheese Bread Recipe. I always have on hand several packets of Hidden Valley Ranch ranch dressing and dip seasoning, and I knew that by adding some of that seasoning, I could take this recipe to a whole new level.
But it gets even better. Hidden Valley has a new Greek Yogurt Dip Mix. Yep – it’s a new dip mix that can be mixed with Greek yogurt, and it delivers the same great flavor that we all love from Hidden Valley! So at this point, I’m thinking that I could not only add the great ranch flavor from the Hidden Valley Greek Yogurt Dip Mix, but I could cut a few calories by swapping the mayonnaise in the recipe for Greek yogurt. The Hidden Valley Greek Yogurt Dip’s formula gives you that same great ranch flavor, but with less fat, more protein, and less calories. Now, I’m not claiming this recipe is now healthy (haha) but it does cut back on the fat and calories considerably. It’s about making small choices, right?
The Hidden Valley Greek Yogurt Dip Mix can be found at Wal-Mart, along with all of Hidden Valley’s other great flavors. They seriously have the best selection at Wal-Mart. I may have picked up a few other flavors, as well. 🙂 Plus I loved that I could pick up all of my groceries at the same time, as well as picking up a few household items. One trip sure beats running all over town, especially with 3 kids in tow!!
This Ranch Cheese Bread Recipe is so super simple, yet packed with flavor. And did I mention addictive? And cheesy? This is the perfect side dish for any meal. I used colby-jack cheese, but you could easily sub in a different easy melting cheese. I’m thinking that mozzarella would be amazing!!
Since I know you want to make this recipe asap, it’s your lucky day because you can download aspecial Hidden Valley couponfor the mix. You can make up this recipe to serve alongside your dinner tonight, or you can get creative on your own and come up with your own recipe. Or hey – use it just as a dip – your veggies will thank you! I know that this dip mix will become a pantry staple for me!

Yes, I would refrigerate because of the yogurt and the cheese.

It’s funny they made a special “Greek Yogurt” style dips because I’ve always used Greek yogurt for the regular dips instead of sour cream. I guess not everyone thinks about things unless it’s on the label lol

I need to remember to cook from my own archives more often. Or rather, just remember to cook those dishes/recipes we LOVED before I even started blogging. Those have long been forgotten 🙁
This recipe looks beyond decadent and addictive, and I would have never guessed you used yogurt for it. I love it! That Hidden Valley Ranch Greek Yogurt mix has found a pretty permanent spot in my pantry cupboard. It’s so versatile!
