Blondies are an easy and simple dessert with so many add in options. We love a soft and chewy M & M cookie, but now you can eat them in a thick and chewy M & M blondie. They have the delicious flavors of butter and brown sugar, topped off with chocolate M&M's for a delicious blondie.
These Thick and Chewy M&M Blondies are a great dessert when you don’t want to cook multiple batches of cookies. One pan and you have 24 bars to feed a crowd.
I shared this recipe on our local lifestyle show (Studio 5) and have received many email requests to share the recipe. They really are so incredibly easy to make with just a couple of ingredients and they taste absolutely amazing!
On the set of Studio 5, the camera guys and producers kept nibbling on these . . . they are so delicious! They live up to their name being thick and chewy.

Delish! And if you are not a "made from scratch" kind of girl :) try Trader Joe's blondie mix in a box. Just add eggs, butter and toppings. :)

Do you reserve part of the 1 cup of M&Ms for the top? or did you add additional M&Ms?
-
Six Sisters says:
Add additional M&Ms to the top. Use the 1 cup for the batter.

Emily says:
Made these, love them. One question. Mine were darker in color than yours are in the picture. Did you use regular brown sugar or did you edit your photo to make it a lot lighter? Just curious why mine would be darker. Thanks.
-
Six Sisters says:
We've used the light brown sugar and the dark brown sugar when we have made these. Doesn't change the taste at all.
-
Nyrene says:
hi there, when do you put the m&m's on top? before of after baking? thanks!
-
K says:
If your going to post a recipe test it more than a few times. This recipe baked longer than you said. It looked done but was not. I hate throwing away food. This recipe is wrong. Too high of a sugar content. Embarrassing.
-
Kate says:
These were okay sadly enough they look better than they tasted just my opinion not sweet enough maybe needed regular sugar as well.
-
Joan says:
Made two pans of these for a college lacrosse tailgate. I used Reese's pieces & candy corn in one, and white & dark choc chips in the other. Very sweet but all the girls loved them. Easy recipe for all seasons - use your imagination for add ins.
-
Holly says:
I hate to be a Debbie Downer...but this recipe did not work at all for me. Very disappointing! And of course I made them late evening for my 5th graders class function the following day and was in a bind when they flopped. An equal sugar and flour ratio seems to be the biggest problem. I baked mine for almost an hour and they are still way too gooey and underdone in the middle. I ffollowed the recipe exactly. Perhaps a few more test runs are in order. It is very disappointing to waste time, energy and ingredients on a recipe that I should have confidence in.
-
Stacie says:
Could you use a smaller glass pan to make them thicker?
-
Cyd says:
You could, but your cooking time will need to be longer. Being thicker, they will need extra cooking time.
-
TWhitmac says:
This recipe is so easy and the blondies come out delicious! It’s my go to for church potluck dinners!
